Holiday Decorating Ideas for Every Room

Christmas is the one holiday that even “normal” folks (as in, those who aren’t bloggers who love doing home tours of every holiday! 🙂 seem to go all out and decorate all over. Maybe it’s the infectious holiday cheer, maybe it’s hosting holiday parties and houseguests, maybe it’s the nostalgia of a homey festive environment. Whatever the reason you decorate, try these easy holiday decorating ideas for any room in your home.

Add holiday decor to your everyday decor

The easiest way to make things festive without putting in a ton of extra work is to just add simple holiday elements to what you already have. Got a gallery wall? Add some snowflakes! (from Centsational Girl)

You can also easily add some evergreen sprigs and holly berries to the top of a frame (via Midwest  Living)

You can also hang a wreath right on top of a matted print or an old window (from Sew Many Ways)

Or you can use wrapping paper to replace the art (temporarily, of course) (from Thoughtfully Simple)

or just wrap the whole frame! (from Georgia Peachez and BHG)

Christmas card or photo displays

Even in this digital age, it’s still fun to send and receive snail mail holiday cards from loved ones and friends. And what easier way to decorate than with Christmas greetings and faces you know and love!
