Friday Favorites: Telescoping Table and a Chic Corner (Home) Office
Welcome to another week of Friday Favorites! where we share our favorites from last week’s Remodelaholics Anonymous link party, plus other beautiful, inspiring, clever and amazing ideas we’ve found around the internet this week. If you’ve got something you’d love to see featured, be sure to link up at the party below (or, if you don’t have a blog or website, drop us a line, message us on Facebook, or use #imaremodelaholic on Instagram).
Favorite use of fabric: Sewing and I don’t always get along, so I can empathize with scrapping a pillow project and covering books instead like Knick of Time! The ticking fabric is a great farmhouse touch anywhere, and you could use this any time, any fabric, to help your mantel or shelf vignette look just right.
Favorite still-hot color: Coral! It’s come and gone in various shades, but I love coral for its ability to be versatile and bright — not just pink, not just red, not too orange. This coral and navy pairing from a recent homeshow makes me happy 🙂 PS: If you love seeing pretty pics from homes, be sure to follow us over on Instagram!

Favorite why-didn’t-I-think-of-that upcycle: Redo It Yourself Inspirations has some amazing repurposed projects — and I never would have thought to turn an old blanket stand into a farmhouse style storage unit!
Favorite smart kitchen idea: This isn’t new, but I love these pull-out kitchen cabinets to organize utensils (via This Old House) and baking sheets (via Waypoint Living Spaces). I bet this drawer hack could be used to make either of those ideas come to life in a DIYers kitchen!
Favorite reader kitchen: Our amazing readers send in project to show off over on Facebook (we’d love to see yours!) and Whitney sent us her beautiful kitchen! Check it out here.
From Whitney: Our kitchen project! When we moved in we so over all the white cabinets in the house. I also have to admit I was itching to paint something with chalk paint. After we painted the cabinets grey the old backsplash and counter tops had to go. To had a vintage/rustic touch we got someone to build us a custom pantry door. All and all I am happy but wish I had some space for a dream island!
Favorite garden: You’ve probably seen this around, but I just keep thinking how SMART it is! Swing N Cocoa built this awesome covered greenhouse to let you extend your garden’s growing time.
Favorite easy jewelry storage: Real Happy Space used a basic jewelry hanger with a cute canvas to make super easy hidden jewelry storage!
Favorite corner office: See what I did there? 😉 @gracecottagehhi turned a corner into a functional home office with a great corner desk and some open shelving. Love the blue!
Favorite budget find of the week: This barn door hardware for DOUBLE doors is under $100! (affiliate link) Add some DIY barn doors like these, and you’ve got some beautiful style without spending the kids’ college funds. Need single barn door hardware or a different style? We’ve got lots of options, both DIY and budget-friendly premade, here.
Favorite home design tip: For visual people like me, a home design collage is a must! Check this one out at Pender and Peony.
Favorite door: Isn’t this screen door just gorgeous?! It’s on my dream home list <3
Favorite smarty-pants table: We shared this video over on Facebook and WOW! Apparently this is called a telescoping table, and it’s brilliant for large families like my extended family.
Lorene has been behind the scenes here at Remodelaholic for more than a decade! She believes that planning projects and actually completing them are two different hobbies, but that doesn't stop her from planning at least a dozen projects at any given time. She spends her free time creating memories with her husband and 5 kids, traveling as far as she can afford, and partaking of books in any form available.
Thank you so much for the feature today. I’m honored to be included. Have a lovely weekend!
