Friday Favorites: Farmhouse Kitchen + A Filing Cabinet Makeover

We’re baaack… which means it’s FRIDAY again! We have some really fun favorites this week — check out more at last week’s party and link up below! (Bloggers, pretty please share with your friends, we would love to see more great projects here every week!)

Favorite before and after: I love how Jessica turned this old filing cabinet from functional to FABULOUS! The wood sections and casters are just right for an industrial/farmhouse vibe, so this piece is still at home in an office but it wouldn’t look out of place in a bedroom or a living room, either. Favorite use of 2x4s: It’s so fun seeing what people can create from humble (and cheap) 2x4s! Sawdust Sisters made this stool-slash-plant-stand.

Favorite kitchen makeover: Lauren from Bless’er House has been gradually updating her new builder-basic home into the farmhouse home of her dreams — and she just finished her kitchen! It’s seriously unrecognizable from the before to the after. And that big farmer’s market sign above the cabinets is probably the BEST use of above cabinet space I’ve seen! (PS: See more of what we share by following over on Instagram.)

Favorite maps: And they’re on CHAIRS! A fun and creative decoupage project over at Pillar Box Blue, and I love the variety of maps that Claire used.

Favorite use of a fun fabric: Because every home needs a fun bold fabric or two (at least) right? Little Free Monkeys used some eyecatching fabric on her DIY storage ottoman!

Favorite monogram: In case you missed it, we blew up Facebook a bit with Michelle’s amazing monogram planter! She was so kind to share all the details with us here

Favorite mason jar project: There’s just something fun about mason jars, but this great oversized checkerboard uses the LIDS as the game pieces! Get all the details at A Home to Grow Old In.

Favorite non-traditional art display: To add a summer touch to the dining room, Craftivity Designs hung a fun art canvas on the front of her china hutch shelves. Easy peasy!
