Make a Splash; Glass Tile Backsplash: Guest

Here is a nice updated kitchen with glass tile.  Great job by A Little Lovely!  I found her blog and wanted to share.

i was so excited to do this project, and really love how it turned out! now it’s time to accessorize!!

here’s how…
supplies
glass tiles
trowel
grout float
ceramic tile adhesive
unsanded grout
bucket

tutorial
{sorry i don’t have step by step pictures. if you have any questions, leave a comment or email me!}
first, make sure your wall is clean.
apply ceramic tile adhesive to the wall with a trowel as you go. most glass tiles come in 12″x12″ sheets. so, cover approximately 12″x12″ with adhesive and then lay your tiles. repeat this process until all your tile is installed.
let the tiles set according to the directions on the ceramic tile adhesive.
mix unsanded grout{make sure it’s unsanded so you don’t scratch your glass tiles!} according to its directions.

with your grout float, smear grout onto tiles. while filling the grout lines, the grout will get all over the tiles, but that’s ok. let the grout dry for a little while and then wipe tile with a damp spong. i think i waited about 5-10 min. {check the grout directions for exact time.}

you will have to wipe your tile several times with a damp sponge until all the grout is off the tile. make sure you don’t let the grout dry too much and make sure your sponge isn’t too wet. you don’t want the grout to harden on your tile and you don’t want to take the grout out of the grout lines.

let me know if you have any questions, good luck!!
