Friday Favorites: Wood Toned Cabinets and Mid-Century Modern Dorm Room

Gorgeous Home Design Inspiration Featured On Remodelaholic.com For Friday Favorites

It’s that time again and it’s almost time for school to start. Are your kids in school yet? This week we have so many awesome ideas! A mid-century modern dorm room (it’s gorgeous), wood toned cabinets (instead of white), and hidden storage (under the stairs). Oh my, I’m so excited for these fabulous favorites, let’s get started.

Mid Century Modern Bedroom Decorated

Favorite Dorm Room: Home Made by Carmona fixed up this dorm apartment and I’m in love. Why didn’t my first apartment look like this? So cozy and stylish. I could curl up in that blanket right now.

Favorite Scrap Wood Project: Scrap wood doesn’t have to remain scraps. There are so many ways to use it like these candleholders by Anika’s DIY Life.

Favorite Wood Tone Cabinets: White cabinets have been hot for a while, but they aren’t everyone’s favorites. Joyfully Growing recently made over her kitchen (on a budget even) and I am in love with the contrast between the wood cabinets and the countertop.

Stairway Construction After

Favorite Way to Use Wasted Space: Queen Bee of Honey Dos added drawers to some wasted space under the stairs. Now there is extra storage that slides right out.

Favorite Bedroom Corner: Joyful Derivatives added an easy shiplap wall in her bedroom and it is the perfect backdrop for her headboard, nightstand and plant. I just love everything about this corner.

Favorite Luxury Bathroom: I need that amazing bathtub in my next master bath. Not only does the tub say luxury so does that amazing tile and all of the little features. What is your favorite part?

Favorite Way to Simplify Decor: I love the phrase less is more. It can sometimes be hard, but learning how to balance a space with only a few key decor pieces can really make your home decor shine.
