Favorite double-whammy: S’mores are one of our favorite parts of summer, and Anika’s DIY Life made the marshmallow roasting even better with her DIY table with a built-in firepit/grill.

Favorite easy curb appeal update: Changing up a light fixture is a relatively quick, easy, painless and affordable update, and that’s true indoors and out.  These rustic industrial outdoor lanterns look great and they’re nicely affordable! PS: More curb appeal ideas here

Favorite IKEA: We have used IKEA cabinets in several of our kitchens (like this one and one we’re still working on!), so it was really inspiring to see how Neat n Tiny used IKEA but combined it with other styles for a really beautiful custom look (did you see the waterfall edge countertop? I’m swooning!).

Favorite pantry space: This gorgeous space by @yvonnechristensendesign is what dreams are made of! Be sure to check out more beautiful homes on the #imaremodelaholic tag over on Instagram, too.

Favorite it-doesn’t-have-to-be-pretty: Utility shelving needs to be strong, durable, and affordable — these DIY shelves from Our Home Made Easy fit the bill, and just look how many totes you can fit on one shelf!

Favorite not-wasted space: We are reorganizing our garage this summer, and these between the stud shelves by The Handyman’s Daughter have me looking again for space that we might have not used but that we *could* use for small storage like this.

Favorite summer parenting hack: Okay, this might not actually be a hack. But summer break means that my children are often making their own lunches when they are hungry, which means PBJ. After awhile they get bored with it, though, so I’m thinking a fun dinosaur sandwich cutter like this will keep it interesting! Novelty is still all the rage with my kiddos and I hope it stays that way forever!

Favorite triple C: It’s clean, coastal, and custom! This fresh coastal-farmhouse style bathroom is such a nice blend of neutral color and texture for a refreshing space. (Photo ©Remodelaholic | Home built by Davies Design Build)

Favorite pop of color: You can use pops of color for throw cushions, rugs, and more — but have you considered a pop of color for your curtains? A Darling Design shows how she uses colorful curtains.
