Easy No-Sew Window Valance

Easy No-Sew Window Valance

Like most of you I am all about creating things that take very little time and look great. {Oh, and does not cost a lot} So, two years ago I was trying to decide how to decorate my sons very beige bedroom when I stumble upon a 75% sale at Pottery Barn. And what did I get a steal of a deal on…and make a fun window valance out of? These fun striped pillow covers.

Look a little closer. You will see that these are beautiful linen pillow covers with embroidered stripes. I simply folded them over the rod.

See these little fish guys. They are ceramic fish napkin rings also from the Pottery Barn sale. I bought them in three different colors and slid them on the rod to secured the pillow covers. They go with my fish theme in the room.

Here is a pillow on my recovered baby rocker. The pillow cover is a little wrinkled from use.
The pillow covers led me to painting a few of the beige walls this bright orange. It’s only a few accent walls – I’m not trying to drive him crazy in a florescent room!
I am going to feature the rest of the room next week – so come back!
