Color Spotlight: Intense White from Benjamin Moore
For this month’s paint color post, I wanted to do another Color Spotlight featuring one of the most versatile paint colors out there today called Intense White from Benjamin Moore.
Intense White is part of the Benjamin Moore Off-White Collection and it is a very light off-white with slight warm gray with a hint of green in the undertone. The mix of gray and green in the undertone counter-balances the warmth making this a very safe and versatile color.
Intense White really speaks for itself and you can see what I mean by how beautiful it looks in almost every room of the home:

Intense White even looks beautiful as an exterior color
If a color looks that good on the exterior and interior, it’s a great sign that it will work almost anywhere. There are very few colors that are truly neutral enough to work in all of these different lighting situations. Intense White is about as true of a neutral as you can get. By the way, this would be a fantastic open concept color if you’re looking for one color to use throughout a home.

Hi, Cyndy! Thank you for information— it has helped to reassure me of my choice in using Intense White for a current project. I used Intense a few months ago when we added a bathroom in our basement. It has a window (South facing) but most of the light is not natural light. Right now we are remodeling our kitchen and I was planning to paint it, as well as two adjacent rooms-mudroom and family room, Intense White. We painted the family room today and I panicked. It looks more of a cool gray than I was expecting and I am second guessing it’s use in the new kitchen (white cabinets- BM Simply White-, very light quartz counters, and white backsplash too. The family room faces North and I think our lights were also too bright/not warm enough. I’m going to try new lights. We have a center hallway leading to the family room and the hallway is BM Stone Hearth which may also be contributing to the Intense White looking too cool adjacent to such a warm color. Do you have any other ideas or recommendations to warm up the family room? Would you stick with the Intense White in the kitchen, or is there a warmer shade (possibly a bit darker?) that comes to mind that we should look into? Many thanks!!
