4 Ways to Use Frankincense Essential Oil for an At Home Spa Day
Bath
Next time you draw up a warm relaxing bath, add a few drops of Frankincense essential oil to the water. While you soak away, you inhale the scent and let yourself visualize and improve your spiritual connection.
Scrub
To take advantage of the skin benefits of Frankincense essential oil, make it into a bath scrub. Combine one cup of sugar, one cup of coconut oil (or another favorite oil), and five drops of frankincense oil. Use the scrub on your feet and legs or any where you have dry skin. This could also be used in areas that have inflammation as long as the skin can tolerate being scrubbed.
Neat
Frankincense essential oil is known to have anti-aging properties. Rub a few drops of the essential oil straight from the bottle, “neat”, on your skin before bed to help with lessening the look of fine wrinkles. This could help lead to beautiful skin.
Body Oil
You can easily make your own body oil. Just combine the Frankincense essential oil with a carrier oil. Jojoba oil is a good one to use as base. This additional oil helps the Frankincense penetrate more deeply. A recommended recipe is 5 drops of Frankincense essential oil in one ounce of the carrier oil. Rub this into the skin. Using this oil could also help with muscle and joint soreness and to relieve inflammation.
